I just bought a phillips remote from CVS pharmacy for $9.99 and it has a code finder feature and it worked for my Astar LTV-27HBG model.

You cant use a normal universal remote, i thried them all. The only ones that work are Logitech harmony remotes, they are almost $150 from bestbuy/ futureshop.
