We had this trouble with our sony bravia, had to get a repair man in to look at it and the digital tuner within the tv went cost $180.00 to have a new digit tuner put in.
I am having same issue, and this is what I have learned, so far: Apparently, some of the earlier Bravias (mine is a 2006) has an issue with the F1 and F2 fuses on the Digital Tuner card. I decided to bite the bullet and open up the tv. The back came off fairly easily, and the card is in plain view. I believe it to be the same card that the coaxial connects to. There are two data connectors, top and bottom. after you free the card by undoing the screws, you will want to disconnect the bottom first by simply depressing the center of the connector and gently tugging to disconnect. The top data ribbon is a bit strange... the top of the connector rocks to one side, and the ribbon simply falls out. My card is part number A1164341A and is used on several of the tvs. I found it on Ebay for 10 bucks, inspected and tested. I just bought the card, so I don't know for sure that this is the problem, but I am fairly confident from what i have found out from researching the problem
