Ubuntu and OpenBSD come with adequate drivers. You could find Windows XP ones down at HP.com (since HP acquired Compaq,) or at Intel.com (since it's an Intel-based system) of course but that's a deprecated OS. Oh, and upgrade the memory.

I think this is the link that you would need... You wrote model 51s. I am hoping that it is the 510 and the s = small form factor. If so all of your drivers should be o this linked page.

here is the link for your drivers, they should work in xp 32 bt, normaly you can have windows search for a driver on your windows disk, it should have loaded one for you to go online.

This indicates the correct video driver was not installed and the generic VGA driver was installed.

Please make it a point to backup your drivers before you format your comp. To backup, just copy the 'drivers' folder from the system32 folder into someother place or a CD before formatting..
