the reason the disc door would not come out is because there is a problem withe the mechanism that opens the door.
to fix this, 1. you unscrew the dvd player, 2. take off the cover, 3. plug the dvd and press open to see if the door would open, then you will see where it is getting stuck, 4. replace the mechanism that is controlling the disc door, and press open to see if the door will open. 5. once it is able to open up, you can screw back the cover.
try a paper clip opened and put on dvd door hole (small hole), and push slowly the paperclip inside and realease the dvd door to open, normaly is a defective dvd laser mec. and needs to be replaced. send to repair
Most likely either the door motor is worn out or it needs to be pryed open with a paper clip, pulled back all the way, and then hit eject button to see if it retracts.
Open the computer casing to access the DVD drive from inside.
Disconnect the cable on the DVD drive leaving only the power supply connected to it.
Turn on the computer.
Push the OPEN/CLOSE button on the DVD drive. If it does not open, the drive is broken or the door drive motor is defective. If it opens, push the button repeatedly to open and close the door repeatedly to release any frozen part.
If the door does not stuck anymore, shut down the computer.
it has to do with a new hardware installation process....check IDE cable that they are correctly connected and try to check system setup so that the CMOS identifies both, primary & secondary devices....if not, u need to install a driver for the newly installed one....
something stuck our dvd-door.
1. open the dvd
2. remove the thing that block our dvd door (like paper, tissue, paperclip)
or
maybe our dvd mechanic door had block by dust
-----basicaly, clean it.
in my case. I knock the upper top of the dvd door hard (but not by hammer, by my hand) while i push open button (the menu open/'open' word is display at the menu). if u're lucky, the dvd door will open
took out the dvd player and inverted it and pushed the advance disk button . There was a disk stuck between the disk slots. The door opened and I removed the disk.
I had been closing the door at the DVD slot manually. I found that if I closed the DVD door with the close button, and then opened it with the open button, it no longer got stuck.
