I have sony icf-218 dream machine. the display has suddenly become very very dim. what should i do?

Turn volume all the way down then back up.

i have a 212 all you need to do is hold on the time button "Hour" or "Min" and click on change button, it sequentially increases set you desired time after it reaches 12:00 it would change automatically to AM/PM so dont worry about that now.

Belt either came off or is slipping. You can open the system up and view it yourself, just make sure the stereo is unplugged.

then plug it in to a different plug because that means that it is plugged into a plug that only works when that light is on
