2003 samsung HLN5065w DLP TV was replaced with Philips lamp 6-month ago and worked well. Two-week ago I turned on tv and showed picture with sound lasting 15-second. Then TV automatically turned off and three LED lights blinked. I can not turned off TV with remote control. The only way is turning off power strip. I send lamp to supplier lab for checking and they said lamp is good shape. Now I turn on TV and screen shows white and black dots without picture and sound and it lasts only 8-second then TV turn off automatically. No any noise sound is heard.

Sounds like the Lamp is over temperature. Either the fan went out or the filter is clogged! You might check the filter first. I hope this will help you...

Sounds like the old lamp blew and took out the ballast. I believe that you need a new ballast for your unit. The other possiblity would be a problem in the low voltage power supply but if the indicator lights are blinking the most likely problem is the ballast.

Yes,the problem is the colors wheel it dead.That one of the cause by the colors wheel,other are alots of squiling noises and making very loud buzzing sound.The cooling fan that u think is overheating,does it stop sometimes,when the tv is still on?Yes,than replaced it also,no than it still ok.Just hire the tv repairman,the parts he'll take care of it,don't order the parts,u might get the wrong parts or different sizes,that will not fit in ur tv.

Did you set the lamp timer? Did you replacement the lamp w/ the original or an OEM, OSRAM? make sure the closure of your tv is all the way in.

That sounds most like the color wheel,
to change that you need to have some skill in electronics, I would recommend to take it to a shop

I had this happen a few months ago. More than likely the color wheel died. I opened up the back of my Samsung DLP expecting to find a blown lamp, but came to find out that only the color wheel was in need of replacement.

sounds like the color wheel has gone bad..the part is not very expensive but it takes some work to replace it

It is called a DMD bord and you can fix it your self look at my ether post on how to clean and tighten the screws on it this should fix it
