I am trying to shoot my wedding ring in a bouquet of flowers... I am trying to have the ring in focus and the flowers OUT of focus. I am shooting with a 28mm-135mm lens... I am shooting on M (manual) and have my fstop all the way open... it is taking good pics but NO blurriness???? WHAT am I doing wrong???!!!

Have you tried switching the mode dial to a flower icon?

The mode with the flower icon is the macro mode, you can shoot up to 5 cm from the subject.

Also, if you are very close to the subject, then the auto-focus may not function properly if the targeting area is not centered on the subject.

When I shoot macro with my FZ7K, I use manual focus, the auto-focus generally has trouble focusing up close.

I would suggest trying manual focus.

make sure macro focus is not on-look for flower icon on screen-if flower is on remove by pressing flower button and turn off-only for extreme close up work macro
