I purchased an Sony Bravia LCD 26 inch of KLV S200A series 3 years back. The LCD has now started developing problems like automatically the power goes off when any particular channel is being viewed and some sound is also heard when the power goes off and suddenly after a gap of 2 to 3 minutes, it again starts or there is no switch on power. Please give your advise.

You have intermitant problems which may be caused by contact resistance or circuit overheating.After it cooled down the tv starts again. Leave TV on standby at all times.

I don't have a listing for your exact model, but a similar one has its LCD panel costing over $600 net. Check with a local servicer for parts availablility as the model I used has the panel no longer available. It is possible that a replacement panel won't be available for you either.
The resolution on this was to check the surge protector the television was plugged into. Once we unplugged and plugged into another surge protector, the screen went back to normal and the appearance was great. We believe this was due to one of the resistors within the surge protector may have become faulty.
