I am trying to turn on my philips GoGear Vibe player, and it won't do anything beyond the initial start up screen. It won't turn off unless i reset it, and when i turn it back on, it just keeps getting stuck on the initial screen. I've pressed all of the available buttons. Nothing is happening. What do i do? Is it broke?

    Would recommend you to connect your Go Gear to your PC/ Laptop and repair the same using Songbird Utility or Device Manager.

My Philips Gogear is stuck on the philips screen

Reset.Hard reset: press the 'RESET' button with the end of a paper clip or the point of a pencil. Then try to switch on your player. Note: do not use the microphone input.

My Phillips GoGear Vibe won't go to the main menu. It freezes up on the ViBE sequence. I tried soft resetting and turning it back on but it didn't work!

Reset the player using the pinhole. If it freezes again then please update the firmware on the player to resolve the issue

To update the firmware perform the below task:

  • Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager:
  • www.usasupport.philips.com - change your country/language as needed
  • Enter in your exact model #
  • Click on the link for your exact model #
  • Click on the Software & Drivers section
  • Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
  • Install the new Device Manager
  • Open and run the "Update" tab

The screen is frozen on the PHILIPS icon and when i reset it it did nothing, but when i put it on the charger then reset it, it starts charging, but when i take it off the charger it goes back to the...

Hi,

Please follow the below steps and check if that resolves the issue:

  1. Press down on and hold the "Power" button on your Philips GoGear MP3 player.
  2. Press down on and hold the "Volume Up" button on your Philips GoGear MP3 player. Continue to hold both of these buttons down for three consecutive seconds. The MP3 player will turn itself off.
  3. Press and hold "Power" until your Philips GoGear MP3 player turns itself back on. Your GoGear will no longer be frozen and you can use it as normal.
If you require further assistance then please revert back.

My Gogear Vibe MP3 is frozen on the playlist screen. Won't change screens, won't turn off, doesn't do anything when you plug it ino the pc

Try Resetting it, by getting a sharp edge (something) and pressing the button on the left side of the device..if that doesnt work, try waiting for the battery to die, the reset, then try charging it again. Hope this helps.(:
