I found this information on Amazon regarding the camera and it makes sense but I haven't tried it. Since the camera has a microphone it can record sound but there is no speaker so you can't hear anything during playback on the camera. You have to upload your videos to a computer (with speakers) to actually hear the recorded sounds.

What is all the types of memory cards for a Kodak EasyShare c142

the lack of replies suggests you'd be better off putting a memory card into anything else other than a Kodak easyshare..... just look on here at the amount of Kodak & easyshare problems there are....... but for the record, "GOOGLE" mentions 32GB works fine and class 4 or over.

Video sound

Do you hear the audio when you transfer the video to a computer and play it there? The camera itself will not play back the audio. See the NOTE at the end of http://resources.kodak.com/support/shtml/en/manuals/urg01114/urg01114c4s1.shtml

Just received my new Kodak Easy Share C142. It makes intermitate noise when it is turned on. I just put the batteries in that I received in the box so I assume the batteries are good. I have also turned...

This noise your hearing is probably the auto focus (AF)

But please confirm what type of noise you hear, update me with this information.
