Have you tried using a different cord for the mic or other components that would use different cords?

Yep ! First thing is to eliminate any processing resource "hogs" that **** respources and can cause buffer overruns. Eliminate Antivirus, antispyware, and network communication and wireless network programs running in the background while recording.
Next make sure that ALL equipment is powered from the same receptacle or power source. In your case that should be the mixer and the PC.
Next remember that the condenser mic picks up everything... I have 5 of those mics and seemingly noise free environments turn out to have little things that generate fast rising pulses that you don't notice till they are recorded.
Lastly, the air here is very dry and plain old static electricity is rampart... Lady shuffling her feet was sending pulses through the mic cable at our church. They are NOT audible until they get into the sound system as clicks.
I have found that trying to record directely to a USB stick often has ooverruns and clicks... also burning a CD from stick to the CD results in noise due to buffer underuns. Burn from Hard drive to CD and make sure all the other hog programs are shut off.

How can I reduce white noise / hissing I'm getting over the mic on a Behringer Xenyx 1204 USB setup?

Hi, you didn't say if the mic actually passes sound? The C-1 is a condenser Mic & needs phantom power - switch on the rear of your mixer. If that's no help, what happens if you disconnect the mic, then turn the levels back up? Still hissing or gone? If it's gone then it's the Mic - must use a 3 wire cable, preferably XLR so it gets the phantom power. If the hiss is still there without the Mic then sounds like the mixer is faulty - try some of the other channels..... How loau is the hiss - just in the background or as load as a vocal "one, two" test? A few things to check anyway...... Good Luck!

I am hooking up a Behringer xenyx 1002B Mic/Line Mixer to my Toshiba Satellite c885-S5194 laptop to broadcast online via meridix. I'm using Audio technica BPHS1 Headset Microphones with XLS plugs and 1/4...

IF your Laptop has a stereo LINE 1/8" INPUT jack, you can take the Stereo ( Left & Right ) LINE outputs on your mixer and feed into this jack on your PC. You will need a 1/4" dual plug for the mixer end to a single 1/8" stereo plug on the PC end. I suspect the problem you are having is either related to your PC only have a MIC input jack or you have something set wrong in your PC's sound config. file. More information is needed to properly solve the problem.

No you can't.
Because the other channels are LINE LEVEL, not mike level.

Behringer Xenyx 502 Mic buzzing...PLEASE HELP

Get yourself anti-static spray and spray over the connector before inserting into the jack, most times its dust or static buildup which causes that buzzing sound and in other times replace your mic

When i record thru my mxl genesis mic with the mixer i get like a loud distorton. Im using magix 14 ,and i have downloaded the audio driver off the disc that came with the mixer....Help

It is likely you do not have the levels set correctly and are over driving the mixer. Reduce the trim settings using the PFL buttons and monitor the level indicators to insure you are not clipping.

With a condenser mic you CANNOT have any speaker in the room that the mic can hear of course. These mics are so sensitive. Your mixer and monitor speakers and recording will be in a separate room from the soundproof studio typically.

To monitor the system anywhere in the same room as the mic you MUST use headphones that do NOT leak sound or you will get feedback and distortion.

Pls, i will like to know how i can get a pro sound with my beringer b2pro mic with my xenyx 1204usb mixer. i mean mic settings

The mic will give very good sound assuming you put it in a studio environment and have no speakers being driven by it that the mic can "hear" or it will feedback instantly.

Your studio should have proper sound deadening on the walls ceiling and floor. There is a lot of information on the web about setting up a studio. Search for it with google. The more studio-like the environment, the more like pro sound you will get. You will NOT get pro-sound in a bare garage or a room in a house without handling the sound reflections in the room. These mics hear EVERYTHING... they are a high quality mic.

Type pf op amp in a Behringer XENYX 1204USB Mixer and a Mackie - 1202-VLZ3

Behringer uses 4580's in appropriate packaging everywhere. There are 339 comparators for the level indicator area.

The Mackies uses both NJM2068 and NJM4560M

The 2068' are used in most of the low noise areas and the 4560 is used in the 75Hz high pass filter for example.
