Yes, there is. It's actually fairly simple, but there is one problem you may run into. Before bothering to buy any of the adapters or try and set anything up, check your monitor's specs and be sure it's HDCP compliant. Without this little detail, a PS3 will not play on any screen.
Now once your sure your monitor is HDCP compliant, your going to need a few things.
First, your going to need an VGA to HDMI cord, or an DVI to HDMI cord. Your monitor uses both these connections, so feel free to go with whichever works for you. You can find cords like this for cheap on Amazon, and I can vouch for this one personally, I use it and it's not given me a bit of trouble.
Now, unless your using speakers that already hooked up to the monitor, your going to need an RCA to 3.5mm adapter (Your everyday headphone jack is a 3.5mm plug.) They are really cheap, and can be found all over the place. Amazon, your local electronics store, EBay, all have these little handy objects. I can again vouch for this one personally, and I love using it, so keep this little thing handy. (Think headphones, when you don't want to use speakers.) NOTE: Make sure you get a 2xRCA to 1x3.5mm adapter, check the link above to see a picture of what your looking for.
Now, once you have both these pieces, it's time to set up your connections.
Step 1. Plug the VGA/DVI to HDMI (Let's call this Video Cord), into your monitor and PS3.
Step 2. Plug the original cord that came with your PS3 into the console as well. This cord should have an end that plugs into a TV, with one each of a Yellow, Red, and White plug. These are RCA jacks.
Step 3. Now take your little RCA to 3.5mm adapter and plug the White and Red ends into it. Don't worry about the Yellow end, this is the video plug and you don't need it now that your using an HDMI connection.
Step 4. Plug your speakers into the 3.5mm plug on your adapter. Power on the speakers.
Step 5. Now turn on the Monitor first, and then PS3. You should see the screen come on, and the PS3 should be telling you it found an HDMI connection, and would you like to switch to it. Select Yes and press X.
Step 6. Now that you can see what's on your PS3, go into the settings section of the menu. Click down to the Sound Settings choice, near the bottom, and press X. Press X again to enter the Audio Output Settings. Click down to the Audio Input Connector/ SCART / AV MULTI choice, and the press -> on the D-pad. Now press X once more and your all set!
Now go back to the menu and move around a bit, you should hear the clicking sounds as you switch to a new item. Start up a game and enjoy the sounds and sights, because your finished.
Good luck and have fun, and please feel free to leave any comments or further questions you might have in the Comments. Feedback is always welcome.
