Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. go to -
Start -> Run -> type CMD and press enter
when the box opens type
IPCONFIG/ALL and press enter
scroll down to the header Connection and look for Default Gateway
Copy this number down - make sure you write it down correctly
now type exit and press enter
open your web browser and type that number into the address bar and press enter
this will take you to your routers setup
enter your password if prompted. if you never set one the defsult Name=ADMIN and default password=ADMIN. if this doesn't work you may have to reset your router by holding in the reset button for thirty seconds and reconnecting to with the same i.p. address you used before.
go to Authentication Security
you can choose WEP or WPA i strongly urge you to use WPA. WEP is a very weak security type

To change any setting on the router , you will need to access the router set up.
Do you have any computer connected to the router with the cable ?
If not then you will need to connect computer to the router
