I just received my watch. There was no manual. I thought the time was set by radio in the middle of the night. It is not set at all. It does not work. Does it need a battery? What do I do? Return it? Did I order the wrong watch? I ordered the Casio Analog/Digital WVA-104HA-1AV; the watchface says CASIO wave captor WR 50M

These watches do set themselves during the night. The watch come with a battery fitted so this should not be your problem.

You can get instructions from the Casio web site.

Go to the casio web site "casio.com".

Select "support" and the "manuals", watches;

Accept terms

Select "watch manual archive"

Read the number of the back of your watch and enter it into the search box

Waveceptor reset

I have a number of these Casio and Citizen watches. This watch does not use GPS for the time keeping. It uses a land based broadcast time signal. There is public information about where the signals come from for your area. The technical breakdown of the time code signal is public access information.

The instruction manual of the watch has the information about when your watch should automatically receive the time signal, and how to set up the watch. Many of the manuals also included a map showing the time signal coverage, and includes the time of day information to show when the signal is strongest.

Make sure the watch settings are for your time zone. This is important. If the main time zone is not for your area it will be trying to receive the signal at the wrong frequency at the wrong time of day. There are areas where the signal may not be able to be received. You can get the mapping for this from the service that the watch has been set to use.

In North America the auto time receive is supposed to take place between midnight 00:00 to 04:00. In the eastern part of North America the reception is poor compared to central and western part of North America. Check the instruction manual for your watch for details.

Below is the spec listing of your watch.

I Have a fossil 10 atm watch & the date doesn't change automatically so i change it manually but then half way thought the day it changes the date

Your watch is 12 hours out of step.

The date changes every second time the hour hand passes 12 O'clock.

Your watches' second pass is at midday instead of midnight, so to make it operate correctly, you need to wind it on 12 hours. The date will then change at midnight.

Can you send me instructions on how to set the time and date on my boss's E. Howard & Co. accurate radio controlled watch? Thanks!

the maker claims setting to be automatic!

The signals for Casio watches are sent out during the night, so I would assume that your watch will be the same.

Do nothing and wait till tommorow!

If nothing happens, then go to http://www.lacrossetechnology.com/support/manuals.php and select the manual from the list.

My casio 3054 Waveceptor atomic watch isn't adjusting to atomic time even thought I placed it by a west window at night.

It's depends on where you are. For instance, where there is no time signal radio station, your (radio-controlled) watch can't turn itself (adjusted to atomic time).

G-Shock Atomic Solar watch - ERR in atomic time keeping

The watch will set itself at specific time set times, this is likely to be at 0200 0400 and 0600.
You will however be required to set the time zone, the switch is likely to be on the back.

Will not recieve atomic time.My other casio atomic

This watch will set it's self in a 24 hour time frame. You need only set the time zone your in.

If it does not correct it's self change location in your house. It receives the signal at 0200 0400 and 0600 for the correction.

The transmitter is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. this station transmits the time codes2_bing.gif and is best received at night.

Hope this tip helps

David

I have several of the both watches and clocks and love them.

Received my Breo watch in the post today, and i thought it would be simple enough to change the settings...however when i press the A and M button on the back nothing happens, i've pressing it lightly

I´ve had the same problem with two Breos. That´s what I did: I opened the watches put out the battery, put in the same battery and that´s it.

Radio Frequency

This watch is only set up to receive a signal in the US. It is not able to receive the frequency in the UK according to your manual.

How do I set a LaCrosse WT-961 (B) watch?

This watch automatically sets itself. I you live in the eastern time zone, you just have to wait for the watch to receive the signal then it will set itself to the correct time & date. The signal is strongest at night between the hours of 10:00 pm & 2:00 am so it normally takes over night to set. Sometimes the weather interferes with the signal so I tell people to give them a couple of days to pick up. Also if you are having trouble receiving the signal try placing the watch by a window. If you do not live in the eastern time zone try these instructions:

Hold down the button for 2 seconds until the time zone abbreviation & zone flash the keep pressing the button until your correct time zone is displayed. Then wait about 8 seconds for the watch to return to normal display. Then you just have to wait until it picks up the signal & sets itself. I hope this helps.

Analog will not sync with digital

I just bought a 4756. Hard to follow that manual.

In the end I used these parts of the manual
Step 1 was to set the correct time zone (off PT or pacific time to ET eastern Time.)
Step 2 was to do a manual receive of the radio time.
Step 3 was to Home all the analog hands so they all pointed to 12. see manual
Step 4 then I hit B button - top right by the 2 and everything spun around to the right time received from the manual received time.
