Open the top panel of your inkjet printer. You should be able to access the ink cartridges once the top is open. Some printers will reposition the cartridge carriage to provide you better access.
Remove the old cartridge from the carriage. Depending on the printer, you may need to press down on the cartridge and then pull outward to remove it. Other printers may require you to lift the cartridge out of the printer.
Unpackage the new replacement cartridge completely. New cartridges will often include plastic strips and protective packaging that must be removed before you can insert the cartridge into the printer.
Insert the new cartridge into the printer. This will be the reverse of removing the old cartridge.
Close the top panel of your inkjet printer and allow the printer to detect the new cartridge. You should now be able to print using your newly changed inkjet cartridge.
