in the engine bay on the right hand side attached to the abs pump

probly in the abs module-which is in the brake fluid line--a new module can cost 3000--if the fluid is dark changeit cause it destroys the modules--remembr u can stil brake w out antilock

The average vehicle's abs module is located on the firewall and is fairly difficult to remove. Double check if your car is equipped abs as zx2's rarely are.

It's inside the ABS pump module assembly. It inside the hermetically sealed black plastic case attached tot he ABS pump module. There is no repairing it. The ABS pump module must be replaced. The part costs $1200. Sorry.

Follow the brake lines coming off the master cylinder they should be going to the ABS Module.The ABS Module should have about 6 lines running to it with maybe 1 or 2 sets of wires going to it.Most of the ABS Modules are close to the master cylinder usally in front of it and mount to the fender well.

Why would you replace an ABS Module

The ABS relay should be located in the fuse box located on the drivers side inner fender in the engine compartment. Lift the lid and check the location diagram on the inside cover to locate the correct relay/fuse.

A related issue may be a loose ground wire. There is one located on the top rear of the engine block. It is a bolted connection. Remove this bolt, clean the surfaces and replace. This simple step has cured many electircal issues on these trucks.
