My tv will play fine, then shut down on its own. After a few minutes I am able to turn it back on, and it will run fine the rest of the night. Lateley, this has been occurring after only a few minutes of operation. Is there something I can do to fix this?

The unit will turn on and run fine for a few minutes then shut off. It won't immediately turn back on, almost as if it hans to cool back down first. Any ideas i have a lennox furnace

The ignitor will light, the blower will start up and run for a few minutes and then the system will shut down, and the blower will continue to run and cool down. The ignitor is not working properly, the ignitor has carbon build-up and need to be removed, cleaned all the black carbon from the ignitor with a little piece of sand paper and replaced, turn the heat back on and this should correct the problem.

Just replaced the lamp after 2 years. TV worked

Make sure that the lamp cage is seating well .. then make sure the door is closed properly. there is a door switch and if the door dont close right the switch may be telling the set the lamp is out.

2 things will cause this Lamp is defective, or Fan to lamp quits running this will shut TV OFF, if the fan quits running while Lamp is on it is design to shut Lamp Off to prevent Damage to Lamp IF Fans are ok It will be the Ballast board It is what turns Lamp on.Look on E-Bay for Ballast board if it turns out thats what you need or call Encompasss Electronics 1-800-638-3328

My Samsung hcn4226w won't stay on.

There are many protective circuits inside the set that will shut it down if a problem is detected. It sounds like there are intermittant detections of problems and the "restart" temporarily clears the problem. If the unit is no longer under warranty, open up the back with the set unplugged and try reseating all of the boards and connectors. The trip may have jared a few things loose. Update this with the results.

Thanks,
Dan

KDF-46E2000 turns off then back on by its self

* Most common would be a couple of capacitors in the power supply that are not letting the proper voltage to the lamp.
* The lamp itself is not working properly.

I have a 52" LG 52SX4 DLP TV, it now shuts off itself after about 10-15 minutes of playing. The bulb is fine, and fan is working fine, it doesnt get too hot, but tv still shuts itself off. I can turn...

Look for capacitors that are bulged and going bad, that is a common symptom when they fair, either the set won't come on unless its warmed up or it will shut down after it run for awhile

Tv shuts down

does the main board have the flyback on it? if so the yokes or CRTs can be intermittently shorting which in turn triggers your shut-down.
turning it off or unplugging just resets the shut down circuit.
