You need the model number which will be inside the lid opening it will say mod or model and begin with 110 then go to www.whirlpool.com and type your model number into the top right corner where it says search and you will be able to pull up the manual in pdf format hope this helps. Sounds like a bad timer possibly.

Kenmore 600 series washer stoped in the fast spin cycle all it will do now is make a stuck humming noise

The humming can be the pump motor, running for a certain time, to make sure all water is out. It should stop in a few minutes. If not, it could be a glitch. If the error keeps coming back, please contact a repair engineer.

What is wrong and how do I fix my kenmore 600 series washer?

If this is a top load washer; then the "LID Switch" is broken. Go to www.sears.com/parts, enter your model number and you'll see the switch listed.

I have an 80 series kenmore washer. The problem I have is that when the spin cycle is reached the water drains but the spin does not happen. When I go down to change loads I will do a spin cycle and it...

It appears your Lid Switch/Door Latch has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Washer won't drain

I don't know how it was fixed. I kept on running it through cycles and the water finally drained.

90 Series Kenmore Washer Not going to spin cycle not draining water

I've had the same problem...you can purchase a replacement lid switch at your local appliance parts store for about $35. Fortunatly, the sales person at the appliance store had diagrams and provided instructions to replace the switch. I was able to finish the job and fix the switch in less than 1 hour. Good Luck.
