Sony Grand WEGA KDF-60WF655 60" Rear Projection HDTV Logo

This gray box won't go away on my uncle's TV. It says "Video 5 Cable Box" and appears at the upper left-hand corner and won't go away. It has been there for a few days. It's a first. The TV has been turned on and off; the cable box (which is working fine) has also been switched on and off, independently. It's a rear-projection, 60-inch, Sony WEGA HDTV with SRS Trusurround and S-Master (whatever that means). Any ideas?

My t.v. won't work correcrly. All it shows is a teeny tiny television picture in the upper right hand corner. I can't get the guide or change channels or anything!!! HELP

Unplug the cable box or turn off the power strip to everything. Wait five minutes. Plug everything back in. Let the cable box complete its reboot. Sometimes thse cable boxes get confused and have to be reset. The box will take its own good time to finish booting and your tv will likely appear as per normal. (Otherwise, you may have hit a PIP button on your remote.)

I have a Sony Trinaton XBR about 6 years old. Works great. Have Comcast cable and they recently installed a new cable box. Now I get all cable channels on "Video 6 - DVD" rather than "Video 7 -Cable Box"....

Hi,
I was awaiting your response in chat session but could not get any thing.
Please hook cable box in Video input-7 instead of Video input-6 in TV and select Video input-7 with remote on TV.
Regarding continues on-screen display of video-6, press Display button on TV remote once, on-screen display will disappear.
Thanks.

Number 2 in upper right hand corner of screen

Had this problem also when I rebooted my Time Warner Cable box. Unplug everything from the wall including power strip and wait 60 seconds then plug back in and turn everything back on. Worked for me and havent had a problem since. Time Warner does not know what causes this yet.

Green Square appears on screen

Had same issue with my LG so I trouble shot the issue by noticing the green square would disappear if I switched to dvd(HDMI-2 ) Or HDMI-3. Which lead me to believe it was being generated by my Xfinity box (HDMI-1. So I first rebooted box. With no success I then unplugged box all together. Tah Dahhh! Problem fixed. Hope this helps.

Remove number displayed in right hand corner in output 4

The problem was with the cable box and not the television. We unplugged box - (we'd reset it before) and the "2" was gone.

The channel information/display won't stop popping up every few seconds.

What you all need to do is get away from a coax cable connection. If you have a cable box, or satellite box, take the coax cable off and use red, white, n yellow rca composite cables to connect your recievers to the tv. if you dont have a cable box, either get one, or get a converter box and use a tuner outside of the tuner within the unit. The tuners in those tv's are built to show you when you experience signal fluctation(which is normal with a coax cable) and thats why the box keeps popping up on its own. good louck to you all with this problem
