It looks that you can receive data (eg.scanned) from your MFC but cannot send information to it {eg. reference to 2-ways communications not working):
I suspect that it is a 'Firewall' problem or 'Antivirus' issue: review possible logs and try turning both Firewall and Antivirus to check if they are the problems.
Good luck!
thanks, i did try that previously but didn't seem to have any effect. I will try again. Any input is greatly appreciated!!
Thank you for your feedback..
Have you tried to 'Ping' your network printer ? This will prove if the printer is 'seen' from your laptop. If not, try direct Ethernet connection to your router if you can, ping and try to print.
I have two wifi routers at home and had a similar issue: basically, my Network Wifi Brother printer connected to Router 1 was only accessible for printing from my Laptop when I connect to the same Router 1. Whenever I am connected to Router 2, I cannot print or scan.
I believe that this printer also has a USB interface: have you tried this alternative connection?
A lot of fun but still frustrating! Good luck!
ps. I would also re-install the Windows printer driver from the CD/DVD that came with the printer - I had bad experience with my 'standard' Windows 7 printer driver which did not work very well on my WiFi network printer (was OK when I used Ethernet connection for the printer and Wifi for my laptop).
