That could either mean that you need new bearings or the spider arms the part that holds the washer tub are broken. It can be very expensive to repair. Get a few estimates before deciding whether to fix or replace.

Ftf530es knocks during spin cycle

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire washer, model# FTF530ES, is having trouble with the drum rocking back and forth, from front to back. I suggest making sure that your washer is level. I would check from front to back, side to side, as well as from corner to corner. If you have leveled your appliance and are still noticing the drum rocking from front to back I would suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Frigidaire front load washer model GLTF1240ASO makes a loud noise durring spin cycle

Most likely the drum bearings are gone, especially if you have some play. You need a bearing and seal kit which is fairly inexpensive but it is a pretty big job. The entire inner drum must come out so it requires the disassembly of quite a bit of the machine.

My amana washer makes a whril noise when it spines.

UNFORTUNATLY IT IS PROBABLE A SPIN BEARING THAT IS MAKING THE NOISE. THIS IS USUALLY CAUSED BY A LITTLE WATER LEAKING FROM THE CENTER SEAL ONTO IT. IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIXED AND VERY TIME CONSUMING, PLUS YOU WILL NEED SPECIAL TOOLS DESIGNED FOR THE JOB

Excessiv drum movement back and forth

this noise is from the drum bearings and yes its a big and exspensive job to do complete strip down and will more then likely cost around £120-£160 to do if u like the washer and its in good condition then have it done because zanussi's and r good machines u can buy the rear of the drum with the bearing already in it but it still needs the drum taking out and then splitting from the front part of the tub but there again it will still cost u upto £100 anyway to do why this happens is mainly over filling the drum

Knocking Whirlpool Duet

Is the waher sitting on a solid surface? Front loaders can not be put on wooden platforms unless they are very sturdy ad built well. Most knocking problems with front loaders are due to where they are installed..since you are familier with the front panel removal, remove it and then put the washer in the spin cycle. Then watch the unit spin and make sure there are no struts in the bottom that are broken or have seperated from the top half. If there is a broken strut you will need to replace it.
