It is not required to use any driver or software to transfer videos from the Camcorder to the Computer.
Once you connect the Camcorder to the Computer, you will get the DVD disc in the Camcorder as an additional drive under My Computer.
You can find the Video_10 folder under the drive and copy it to the Computer to transfer the videos.
However, there are some occasion, computer may ask driver when connecting the Camcorder.. It may be due to genuine driver incompatibility..
In these type of situation, you can finalize the disc in the Camcorder and insert it in the CD/DVD drive on the Computer to transfer the videos.
You can use any software which you used to playback the commercially produced discs to playback the videos from the disc.

my computer and my laptop wont connect to Internet explore.i can not find my netgear disc the computer has asked me to reinstall my wireless netgear disc.
instead of using the disc you can set up the router manually. is there any other computer which is able to go online using this router ? If you have other computers working then you will not need to set up the router again. Click Here for more info about the routers
USB cable is necessary to connect camera with computer. Windows has inbuilt driver for this model and when camera will get connected with computer, Windows will recognize it and will install driver automatically.
