Windows MediaPlayer and Quicktime are not available for Android smartphones.
If your phone is capable of running Flash, you can download it from the Android Market using the following steps: - Go to your App Drawer and tap "Market" - Search "Adobe Flash" - Tap the entry for Flash that is authored by Adobe - Tap "Install" and accept the permissions. The app should download and install to your phone automatically.
Your phone needs to be running Android 2.2 (Froyo) to use Flash. Depending on your carrier, your phone may not have the upgrade available yet. To check if an update is available, do the following: - Go to your App Drawer and tap "Settings" - Scroll to "About Phone" and tap it - Tap "System Updates" to check for and install any available updates.
Because this device doesn't have the google market installed by default go to this URL http://slideme.org/en/sam2.apk in the android browser install the SlideMe Market app you will then be able to browse apps and install others just like other users can with their Google Market.
HTC Wildfire, so I'm assuming that this is running on Android 2.1
There should be an app there somewhere called Market with an icon of a paper bag with a green robot on it. Open that, and you'll be asked to login to your Google Account (if you don't have any, then just make one!). Then start downloading apps. :)
If you cannot find the Android Market app, https://market.android.com/ use this website instead (on your computer)
You should update the 'System' on your phone.
Go to Settings>About Phone
Select 'System Updates' to get your system up to date. This should get you going with Android Market.
You will need some internet connection for this.
