My jvc hd-56g886

While watching tv screen went black and the blue and orange lights started flashing rapidly. tried to unplug and wait, but when turned back on the same thing, black screen and both lights flashing rapidly. Is it the lamp, the fan or some other issue?

I have the same problem, I have had the tv for 3 years have replaced the bulb twice, I just replaced the bulb several months ago and the problem with the blinking just started.

I've had the same problem and I'm just now replacing my bulb for the second time at not quite 3 years old. It seems to me that's just about how long the bulbs last, only other option is to try and put up with a dimmer picture to squeeze a little life out of it. I'm going to try and turn on the bulb timer option in the timers menu when I replace it this time and see how accuractely it predicts the bulbs lifespan. Sorry but there seems no good answer but to buy a bulb every year or 2. Sux I know!

Jvc tv wont come on.

your lamp is burned out-easy and fairly cheap fix. Order a new lamp and install it according to the instuctions sent with the lamp.Dont believe that you need to take it to a service to have it fixed, this should be less than $150 fix-good luck

JVC HD DILA 56G886. replaced lamp and now it shuts down after 10

we found that it is an auto shut off system on the TV due to over heating. The lamp, if not cooled correctly shuts down. We added a mini fan in the back and it seems to work fine now.

Make sure the bulb is seated properly in it's hole. It has to be an exact fit or it won't work.
