Well I know what the review says about underwater to five meters http://www.ephotozine.com/article/Olympus-Mju-725SW

but I would take it with a pinch of salt frankly.
You could get onto Olympus and tell them you know- 'You said I could take it under water - now it wont work' - They may replace it

Lens cover would not close. Now camera will not turn on.

Hi,
Lens cover not close, This will happens due to two reasons.
1) Either your camera battery got died or need to be recharged or replace. or 2) Your camera is malfunctioning and need service (repair).
To resolve the problem. first check battery on your camera, If battery indicator shows battery low, than you need to charge it or you need to replace your battery.

I have a samsung L100 digital camera. the battery had to be recharged but the lens cover only partially closed at the time that it shut down. I tried to recharge the battery, when I turn on the power...

The battery was tested and showed to be fine. The camera just malfunctioned during the shutdown. The used battery was put into a new camera and it's been fine.

Lens cover only partially opens

This blog post outlines repair procedures for stuck lens covers. An A400 is used as an example. But it should be similar for the A430:

Black screen, loud beeping when opened, doesn't work

The following blog outlines some simple repair options for a lens error. But please first try the listed Fix #2. I heard that fix particularly works well for a camera who's battery had run down with the lens open. Please post back here with a follow up comment if any of the fixes work:

hello, as you said lens cover does not shut it means camera is in working mode so naturally it drains the batteries. Actually the problem is in the lens assy. so go to samsung shop. good luck...
