I have a Canon IR 3170 CI and i have this error code " E020-0390" .I do not have a service manual to check this error code. Please help

Looking at what the error is, getting into the service mode will not allow you to fix it; you have some parts to replace first.

E351: Error PCB ECO. Communication error between the PCB and the PCBECO main driver during startup.

Turn off main power and check the main controller PCB (primary, secondary), thenturn the main power.

Check in the back of the machine the main controller PCB (Main) make goodconnection with the PCB ECO-ID: help with image processing.

check the drive of the main motor >may be a broken gear .If that is ok then check the main motor in another machine.If that is also okie then u have got urself a fried DC controller PCB.Replace it

Cant say i have ever had this error code, i would suggest you reinstall the printer.

Hi,
you have fixing trouble, to be specific E002 Insufficient temperature rise of the fixing unit.
The non-contact thermistor fails to
reach standby temperature (normally
190 deg C) within 180 sec after reaching
180 deg C.

Try to clear the error by entering service mode:
press *
Press the 2 and 8 keys of the keypad at the same time.
press *

navigate trough service mode : COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR >ERR


If these doesnt helps, replace entire fixing assy, its most reliable way to get rid of complications.
