Using Harmony 650 remote by Logitech. Works fine for TV, DVD and partially works for Roku (Netscape streaming, etc.)...But when using the Roku, the new remote does not control the volume nor does the Mute button work. Any ideas.

If you have an infrared remote and your Direct Tv remote is using an RF signal then you need to call Direct Tv and they will help you program your DVR to the remote.

You can download the software to program your remote from the site below.

When adding devices, the Roku is listed under Satellite Receivers. I have a Harmony 880 and recently programmed it to add a Roku.

SOURCE: logitech harmony 550 volume problem

I would call or email in to logitech and suggest that they copy some of the learned commands for your bose system into your harmony remote account.

The commands they add are learned from other customers and they will only copy the best ones. Give it a shot.

Logitech harmony 650 remote doesn't work with old Roku player

I have an old Roku and was able to get the harmony 650 to recognise it. The model of my old Roku was SD since I originally used it on my analog TV. Everything seems to work without having to "teach" the Harmony. The only quirk was having to use the Exit button to go back to a Netflix movie description and again to go back to the channel list.

Remote will allow you to "choose an activity" to

Hi. It sounds like some of the IR commands on your remote (menu, exit, guide, info, play, skip, etc.) for your TV and DVD player are not correct. Luckily, the Harmony remote is a Learning remote, meaning you can use your original TV or DVD player remote to teach the Harmony remote the correct commands. The following tutorial by Logitech will assist you with this:

Can't get Roku N1100 to work with Samsung LCD. Worked fine with older style TV. DVD input works fine. Connect Roku....Nothing. Samsung LN32C350. Attempting to connect with RCA style connectors,...

Make sure you select the correct input for your device. If you are using RCA cables then select the RGB option on your inputs, or it may RCA as a connection. If you are using HDMI then make sure that is selected.

Cannot get DVD to play movies -

I can help you with your Logitech Harmony 890 remote control.

The Logitech Harmony 890 remote control is programmed through the
Harmony Windows Setup Software.

Once installed, you will simply run the program and select the devices you would like to control from menus. This program finds the right codes for you and loads them into your remote control.

You can get a copy of the Harmony 890 Manual by clicking here.

I hope that helps.
