Are the backlights working? Sounds like yes even before changing the T-con board!

Did you do the flashlight test into the screen to see if there is a faint picture? I guess if you did you didn't see a picture!

This would point to the main board or the cable from the main board to the screen!

If you had a white picture the backlight converter board did not need to be replaced. The T-Con board controls the picture. This board has one or two flat ribbon cables going to the bottom of the screen. It usually is located near the center of the TV chassis.

Its backlight is not working. Check the CCFL tubes, and it backlight inverter board for fault.
Backlight inverter board will look somewhat like this. If this board has damaged, CCFL lamps won't light up, and there will be no backlight. OK.

Look very close to the secreen, while a programme has been selected, and try to see whether there is any trace of picture, moving on the screen or not. If you can see any white shade traces of picure, be sure that the backlight is not woking. the main reason for this fault with be of backlight inverter board, which generates high voltage to CCFL tubes. If so, you have to replace the baacklight inverter board. If no traces of picture are there on screen; the T'Con [timing control] board is faulty, and should be replaced with same part number. OK.
