I purchased a Panasonic HDR-H60 palmcorder but could not download the software provided (video cam suite) into my PC. My PC is window 7 with 64-bit OS. Any solution or return it back to seller.

First, I would suggest installing the software program that comes with the camcorder. VideoCam Suite. Here is a link so you can update the software for Windows 8.

Then connect your camcorder with the USB cable and upload to program.

Good news and bad news. The bad news is that Panasonic does not supply a download for the software, but only an update to it.

Now the good news. I did find a site that offers the download of VideoCam Suite 1.0. It is:

This is a huge download...Nearly 300MB. Do not even attempt it if you do not have broadband. (DSL or Cable)

I have not used this site so its satisfaction is not guaranteed. There are other links on this site to scan your computer. They may be legit, but I wouldn't do it.

The only other recourse would be to contact Panasonic for a new CD which they will no doubt charge you for. If you should decide to do that the customer service number is 1-800-211-7262.

deinstall windows sp 3
download microsoft 2008 c++ library
install vcs 1.0
install update vcs 1.0 may 2008 from panasonic support

The software will work only if you attach the camera to the electricity cable comes with the camer...The software will not work using the battery.

Hi there.

It states in your manual to only use the software provided to copy, transfer, or edit video recorded on this camera on your pc. BUT...a workaround for this so you can use your PInnacle software (I love Pinnacle Systems software) is to record you video and use the software provided to create a DVD video, then you can import that into Pinnacle for editing later. Try it.

when you install you software you have to set the same VIDEO SYSTEM that your camera. Select NTSC.

For the VideoCam Suite 1.0 (software) that comes with the camcorder requires Microsoft Windows xp professional service pack 2 but I have service pack 3. How do I transfer from the videocam to my PC?
