JVC's Consumer Customer Care Center can help you with most product or service related questions you might have. This number is for home-use TV's, VCR's, DVD's, car audio and portable electronics:(800) 252-5722
Press and hold SEL until menu appears Using the scan button (FWD/REV), select Clock H Using the volume knob, set the value
Using the scan button (FWD/REV), select Clock M Using the volume knob, set the value Press SEL to save and exit
I'm no JVC expert, but typically on car stereos (at least the ones I've come into contact with) the stereo must be turned off. Then you press and hold one of the 'menu' or 'function' buttons until a menu pops up. Scroll to a 'clock' setting and change it from there. See if this works!
model number would be nice but i'll give it a shot. hold down the volume button for 4-5 secs and that should pull up a psm menu. clock settings should be in there.
Sounds to me as though it is wired up to the car's Power, Fuse setup wrong.. there is always a wire that "Keeps it alive" when car is turned Off, I suspect this isn't wired up to an always live feed?
Clock setting: Press and hold SEL until menu appears Using the scan button (FWD/REV), select Clock H Using the volume knob, set the value Using the scan button (FWD/REV), select Clock M Using the volume knob, set the value Press SEL to save and exit
Settings are on page 6- of the instruction book. Did you loose the book? If so, you can download one from books.jvc.com.
The most common way is to use the auxiliary input of the deck or head unit. However I don't believe the JVC model you have has one of these. Don't despair though. Head to your local department store with a music department and pick up a universal FM modulator ($20-$30).
These will 'pretend' to be an FM radio station inside your vehicle. Attach the stereo mini plug to your walkman or other audio device (mp3 player etc.) Then tune the FM Radio to the fm station listed on the FM modulator and you will be able to listen to the device through your car stereo speakers. Now this isn't as clean as a direct hookup but for most its an economical way to listen to alternate sources on your Car Stereo.
make sure radio is on and you press and hold sel (select) button when you see demo release the select button(you might see other option if you have access the menu options). then press the forward button until you see clock h (hour). to adjust turn volume knob. then press the fast forward button again to get clock m (minute) and use volume knob again to adjust minutes. once you are done make sure to press select again to save the time.
Hi,
Normally, your JVC Car Stereo will not allow direct connection to an Apple iPod.
However, there are several aftermarket interface adaptor that will allow you to do so:
1. Connect the iPod to a JVC KS-PD100 which in turn is connected to the CD changer jack of the KD-G720 (rear of the unit). Set the stereo to CD changer external input setting and you're ready to go;
2. Connect the iPod to an FM Transmitter such as the Griffin iTrip (w/ Dock connector) which in turn will broadcast the IPod music as an FM signal. Operating the KD-G720 on FM radio setting will receive the IPod's broadcast music.
Hope this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up. Good luck and kind regards.
