May read instructions and see if charger is compatible of charging the two types of batteries you are charging ,,,,I have 32 dewalt 18v dc9096 batteries and 1d dewalt 18v dc9099 battery
I've been working on cordless tools of many brands for years and there are no individual parts available for batteries from any manufacturer nor any aftermarket parts retailers that I have ever found. Usually if you need these types of parts you have to scavenge them from other batteries.
If one contimues to use the pack after the tool starts to slow down one cell in the battey depletes and then reverse charges and then shorts, After that, that cell will not charge and the battery will only produce the rating minus 1.25 volts from that point. Unless you have the battery rebuilt it will never again take a full charge. Either replace or have rebuilt to solve the problem.
Sometimes the charger needs to be reset! there is a procedure for tricking the charger into giving the battery a forced charge. Sometimes this will shock the cells back to life. It is a temporary fix! the thermistor inside of the battery may also be bad. Goto Http://www.Batterypartsonline.com the have the thermistors and any other parts you might need!
