I washed my LG chocolate touch in the wash machine, it was off when it went through so I took the battery out and threw it all in a bag of rice foe a week. I purchased a new battery and took it out of the rice and it worked like a charm...except the bottom button lights will not shut off..ever. Of course this is killing the new battery. Can I open it up and cut the wire to the lights?

How to dry Pantech C610

I saw this on TV for drying out cell phones...just recently. First remove the battery. Then partially fill two zip baggies with rice. Put the battery in one bag and zip, then put the cell phone in the other and zip. Let stand overnight. They should be dry by morning. Let me know if this works. It really sounded too simple. But logic tells me that the rice WILL draw all the moisture out.

My LG cell Phone was in my pocket that went through an entire wash/rinse cycle in my washing machine. The phone will not dial out or receive calls. The desktop comes up with menu's, my phone list is...

Phone is going to die. Hate to break bad news but phones are not built for any form of water contact.

You could try however taking the battery out and placing them in a jar of rice for a day or 2.

Rice likes to absorb moisture and usually, not all the time, but usually does an awesome job at saving wet phones

Went through the washing machine

Try putting it in a bag of rice for a couple of days to dry it out. I dropped my phone in the toilet, someone told me to place it in a bag of rice, I did and my phone started back working. Maybe it will work the same for your Ipod...

I washed my LG phone in the washing machine, what can I do?

Hello,

The first step is to leave your phone alone! DO NOT try to turn your wet cell phone on. Turning on your wet phone can permanently damage the circuitry.

Next step is find a bag of rice, preferably white. White rice can absorbs the most water. Ensure that you have enough bag of rice to completely submerge your wet cell phone.

Now, place your wet cell phone into the bag of rice. Place the phone in the middle of the bag so that you can no longer see your wet cell phone.

Next, place your bag of rice in a dry and warm place. I left my bag of rice in the back of my car on a hot day.

Leave your bag of rice to sit for several hours. I left my bag of rice in the back of my car for 8 hours. After time has elapsed, you can finally pull out your cell phone and try to turn on your phone.

Good luck!

The ringer & ******** part might be corroded.

go to a repair shop & let the technician troubleshoot the problem.

The ringer & vibrate might be bad & needs a replacement or the connection is bad.

How to take apart the LG Versa to dry out moisture behind the touch screen. It went through the washing machine, appears to work otherwise though

I would not try and remove any backing or covers off cell phones. I dropped my cell in the lake a couple of years ago. I took the battery out and laid the phoone and battery on my dash for a couple of days and this baked out all the moisture. the phone still works today!!

LG Dare dropped in Pool

Just put it in a bag of rice for couple of weeks. The rice pulls all the water or wetness out of the phone. How do I know, Well I found a brand New Lg Dare phone in a puddle, put it in rice for 2 1/2 months. I took it out of the bag, put it together, turn it on. To my amazement it worked. Ran to store, bought a charger, and it has worked every day since.
