Line faults & possible causes to LCD & Plasma screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent. Faults to all LCD & Plasma screen are similar, irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Check all connections that goes to panel from T'Con board for any loose connections. Re-seat them once and check. If the fault still persists, contact the authorized service center. Your Vertical Amp is probably Blown (bad) , but before you change that check all capacitors around the vertical amp IC and / or resolder resistors and diodes around vertical amplifier.
And NO it is NOT the Picture Tube

This is called a frame collapse. The Amp that drives the vertical sync has failed. This could be from excesive voltage on the mains, Lightning in the area, if you had or simply general failure. May also be dry joints( or loose connections) in the vertical amp or scancoil terminals. Good Luck,JUS004
Set has a bad vertical sweep IC. Also This Sanyo has a tendancy , when the IC blows out , to take the fusable resistor in the sweeo supply that feeds the vertical IC. This set should only be serviced by a trained technician because of ther high Voltage that lingers within. This repair should run you antwhere from 85.00 to 150 bucks. Good Luck
