As it spins very slowly back and forth it also makes the grinding squeeking noise.

Hi Robert.
What you describe sound like a distorted drum and/or collapsed bearings. The grinding noise is typical of bearings which are worn out, and the squeaking can come from the drum rubbing on the door seal.
Check if the inner drum is loose and flops up and down. Also spin the drum by hand and see if it's touching the rubber door seal anywhere. If it spins freely but make a growling noise your bearings need to be replaced..
Neither of these situations are good. A serviceman is probably required to know for sure.
Good luck.

Check that drum (2nd below) is not rubbing on this door seal

Grinding noise on spin part of cycle, but the drum doesn't spin this is when you hear the grinding noise. Trouble code is UE. Any help I would be most greatfull?

Not sure of the code..but sounds like the spin clutch that supplies friction to spin the drum at high speed is bad ..will need replaced.....if you are a DIYer you can buy clutches and not a hard repair..need to lay the washer on its side to get at it good luck..

Spin - loud noise - switched off - drum wont turn

I'm just hazarding a guess here, but it sounds like the bearings have gone (if you try to turn the drum by hand and it sounds noisy and grinding/crunchy then I think it would be the bearings). I'm certainly no expert though.

Drum brakes causing intermittent grinding noise

Sounds like one of the springs that hold the rear brakes in place broke. Jack her up, pop off the tire, remove the drum and take a look. If you need to see what a good one looks like, look on the other side.

This is not a very common problem, but I saw it last year on a 69 chevelle.

Good Luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Lg dryer - front load - making a grinding noise

I also have the same problem as klrlesimmons, exactly as described. Sounds like sand is rubbing as the drum turns, and also sounds out of balance.

Repairmen replaced upper and lower glides and also the plastic bearing but not the entire bearing assembly.

Likely a broken dog itself was making the noise. They should all be replaced.
