Sir I have Richo Aficio 2000 mp printer and have problem occured SC 542. How to clear it

Reseting SC 543 error code on Ricoh copier

Press CLEAR MODE(yellow) key,
Press 1 , 0 , 7
Press and hold down CLEAR/STOP (red) key for more 5 sec.
Press in the SP Mode( on the touch pane)

Go to sp5810 and reset SC code

Open the front door turn OFF the power main switch, and turn it ON

Push clear modes 1 0 7 then stop for 5 seconds

It's a fuser overheat error enter service mode to clear, if it comes back service call ( push in sequence clear modes(yellow) 1 0 7 hold down stop for 5 or so seconds, screen will change, power down, red switch. -Carl

The mechanical counter is either unplugged or is defective.

That code requires going into the SP (Service Protocol) mode. If you have the service manual, it will tell you which buttons to press to enter it and to exit service mode. Once you enter service mode, power down the printer. If that doesn't reset, you have to go back into service mode, go the the SC/Fuser reset SP and once executed, power down then restart. Hint: you have to go to "SERVICE" then 1 will display. Press the right arrow key until you reach "5" then press the OK button. You can then right or left arrow until you find the reset SP. overload of the main motor or fusing unit (SC 500)

Look at your fusing unit, (rollers, thermistor, lamp, gears...)

and don't forget to reset SC code in SP mode.

SC 542 Heat roller warm-up error and for that you will need a technician since the machine may need some part replacement .

sc 302 - charge roller current leak. strip the drum unit (dmu) and clean the unit

To clear level A SC codes such as this SC541, you need to
Enter SP mode, and then turn the main power switch off and on, only.
Please check if the thermistors are the proper ones and are installed correctly in their position properly.
This is also useful for SC542.
Please check the thermostats and fusing lamps for open circuit.

SC542 is a warm up error from the fuser.

SC 870 is an address book error.

Turn the power off on the copier. Wait 30 seconds and then turn the power back on. See if it goes away.
