I have a convergance problem (red and blue are both offset). I tried going into the convergance menu, but the crosshairs won't move. Am I doing something wrong or do is the problem minor or severe? I have a convergance problem, the red is offset and the crosshairs will only go so far and than stop moving? Any help

Druid may be right, usually faulty ICs give convergence problems of this kind.
Before you should perform a convergence setup procedure, you find details on service manual.
After performing setup the convergence board should be tested and eventually repaired.
All this jobs should be done by an expert repairman, even service setup procedures may damage your tv if you do not know what you are doing.

Hope that helps..........
This is an indication that either the connections on the pins of the convergence ICs are bad or the ICs are defective. If you can solder, you can repair this yourself. Try resoldering the pins on the ICs first. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the ICs. These are large black ICs attached to a heatsink and will be marked STKxxx.
Keep us posted.

I think you need to replace the IC convergence modules..
But if you have no prior experience, I would recommend getting in touch with a repair service.May cost you about $150..
But if you have a clue, drop a post back, and i will give you a link to try a DIY..But mind you, there are voltages in a TV that are deadly and can KILL, even if you know what you are doing..
i meant to say that if you have no prior experience, contact a repair service..
Spot on Ginko, and thanks..
