Check if there are any software bundled with the installation of the driver. It should be under the "Programs and Features" option in the Control Panel. Look a Creative Labs software and uninstall it.
You can also try creating a new Windows User Account and try installing the driver thru their.

No its not well i tried everything for weeks, dozens of different drivers i ended up buying a creative labs 5.1 channel card for only $21 which a lot of ppl say doesnt work with win7 but i found a driver and it sounds great. cheers and plz vote
