HP Photosmart 3210 Printer Logo

I bought my HP Photosmart 3210 in The Netherlands in 2005. The ink cartridges it required were number 363. I returned to Australia in 2007 and promptly ran into a problem. The 363 cartridges are not available in Australia. Instead, the equivalent appears to be number 02. They look exactly the same and fit the printer, which seems identical to Photosmart 3210 printers I saw in nthe shops in Australia. However, the printer refuses to operate with the 02 cartridges and insists on 363. It seems to be an incredibly stupid and mean-spirited marketing ploy to, apparently, tie printers to a geographical zone like they do with DVDs etc. Does HP think people don't travel? The 3210 is now a prime piece of junk. How do I get around this problem?

Hp 3210 is leaking ink

Remove the black ink cartridge and put a piece of tape on it to prevent it from leaking all over your clothes. Find the receipt for the cartridge and return it to where you purchased it from. More then likely your going to have to clean out your entire printer to get rid of the ink that has leaked into it. You have a faulty ink cartridge. Hopefully you purchased a name brand cartridge and can return it. If you need assistance with instructions on how to clean out your printer, please advise.

I bought my HP Photosmart C6280 in Switzerland, using cartridges 363. Now I have moved to South Africa and I can only buy cartridges 177. When I put them into my printer it says "Incorrect Ink...

it is likely that you havr a mix of trade and host supply of ink cartridges. Even though HP363 and HP177 are compatible cartridges it is not the issue. Refer this article.

Hope this helps.

HP Photo smart c6180 All-in-one wrong cartridge

Hi The 363 cartridges that came with the printer MUST be used before any cartridges you buy in the shop are installed. The cartridges that come in the printer box are called "host cartridges" their ink is different and is required to install the printer for the first time. Once the installation ink is used, you are free to install & use any cartridges you would normally buy in the shops.

If the cartridge that came with the printer is not working, contact HP technical support and they should send you a free replacement.
Cheers.

Use HP 363 cartridges instead of 177 for my Photosmart C7183

Phone HP.  After about a month hanging on, on their premium rate number, you'll finally be put through to someone who doesn't understand the problem.  Then, after your beard has grown another inch or two, if you're lucky, you'll actually get someone who understands the problem.  Some birthday's later, you'll be connected to a technician who can talk you through a simple number of keystrokes to re-configure the printer.
Reckon this cost me 30 UK pounds - seriously -  I had to call five times  but eventually it was done.

Can't use my original ink # 363

Actually you cannot use your # 363 ink on your photosmart c6180. The ink is not compatible with the printer. Photosmart c6180 only uses HP02 vivera inks. And there is no way that you can reconfigure it because it is factory default. Unless you bought an HP02 ink from other country outside US and bought the printer in US, that's the only time that we can reconfigure the regionalization of the printer
