Make sure the cables are firmly attached, and locked into place in both ethernet ports, both on the router and the Xbox. I get this issue sometimes and it's annoying... i know ^^

You do not need 2 routers to connect to the internet infact you need only 1. having 2 conflicts with pcs and causing them not to work.
From the wall you have your cable fro your internet that plugs into your modem, from the modem it plugs into the router by ethernet cable to the uplink slot and then your computers connect to the router. Most routers can connect 4 computers at once. If running them all wirelessly just reboot them and they should connect automatically. If your wiring them plug them into the back by an ethernet cable in the slots 1 for the first PC, 2 for the second so on and so on. You may have to cold boot everything at first meaning shut down all the computers, unplug the router and modem. Then Plug in the modem let it boot up, plug in the router let it boot up then the pcs.
If you need more hook ups if 4 isnt enough yo uneed a switch or access point not another router.
Let me know If this helps and if I can help further.
Have you changed the configuration of your internet at some point? In Vista I think you can change them somewhere in Control Panel under something like "Internet options" or "Connectivity"...
Ensure that all settings are set to allow full speed through to your system.
Another thing is that some sort of Antivirus software may be blocking some of the internet connections, check the confuguration on your Antivirus software incase it is blocking internet signals.
First you need to figure out if the issue is with your router, your modem or xbox. Does the issue occur if you connect directly to the modem? If so, look into the rooter. If you have the same issue with the modem, try connecting a PC and see if the connection also drops. If that's the case, your modem is the issue. Call your internet provider and they should provide you with a new one. If you xbox is the problem then bring it to a repair shop explaining the issue.
