My galaxy tab is locked up and will not boot up I downloaded new kies software and then uploaded my pics and music then the tab would not reboot it just stays in the samsung page and will not go any further.

From my experience, much depends on the site you downloaded from. Upload quality can affect what you get on your download. Upload generations can also affect. You may have a copy that is or has been uploaded tons of times. If I'm not mistaken Pandora is music only. Don't know if you remember video tapes but a a very small portion of the tape was video the largest portion was audio. Did I confuse you enough. Try downloading from another source.

The easiest way according to Samsung is to install Samsung Kies, which allows your PC to see the tablet as a USB drive with folder structure.

Some years back I had trouble with Kies, and found another app worked better, Samsung New Photo Studio. That was for an earlier Android phone, so it may not be good on a tablet

Samsung Tab needs Kies software to update to latest firmware.
Download Kies from here and install it. When finished, launched the Kies and it should tell you whether there's need for an update or not.

The best solution I can offer is to install the latest version of Kies;

Then once installed connect the tablet and wait for the drivers to install. If they do not go to the top left hand Kies menu press it and a drop down menu appears saying reinstall drivers; select that to reinstall the drivers.

Download and install Samsung Kies on your PC then connect the Tab via USB. Kies will detect the device and will automaticly notifies you on the screen if a new firmware update is available. Cheers.
