My Kenmore dishwasher leaves water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Is that OK? I notice the water when I clean out the bottom tray.

There is a drain pump that is separate from the main pump on most kenmore elites. There is also a check valve that could be stuck open. 8 of 10 times, however, if the machine was working fine and is now not fully draining, this is due to a drain hose pluggage or kink somewhere between the drain pump and the discharge into the sink. I've seen grease totally block the discharge into the sink trap and cause this problem. This should be thoroughly checked and must be 100% clear for the dw to drain properly.

Kenmore dishwasher 665.16529000

Most dishwashers get plugged full of bits of food/napkins/broken glass. Suggest removing all trays, look for filters at the bottom. Many videos on YT that show various models, similar for each manufacturer.
I clean mine once a year or so.

Lower arm repair on Dishwasher?

It will help if you can provide the model number of the kenmore dishwasher. I would try and take the wash arms out and clean them under running tap water. If the residue continues to appear then confirm if the problem is only with the bottom drawer or top drawer as well. Keep a couple of cups on the bottom shelf right side up and check the quality of water in these once dishwasher has drained at end of cycle. Also sometimes if the Rinse aid quantity is low it can lead to residue on glassware.

Upper tray does not wash clean, bottom does

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

Kenmore dishwasher is not washing properly and leaving dirty water in the bottom when it is finished, Can i fix it?

yes you can, what you want to do is right after you read my solution... rate it. :D but anyways wht you have to do is take out the filter underneath the bottom tray where the dishes go. and clean out all that yummy wet gross food from last week. it'll be all gunked up. that's stopping the dirty water from draining.

Kenmore Dishwasher 17369 not thoroughly cleaning

The first is to look for filters and drains to clean. Also check out the jets, as sometimes these can be clogged farther back than you can see with a quick inspections. You can likely remove them and take a good look. Secondly, you may want to switch detergents. Perhaps the quality of the water you are using has changed, hard water build up or you have changed detergents. You have to find the right detergent for the kind of water you are using, especially if you don't have a water softener. where the filter in the bottom of the dishwasher needed cleaning out. Just take the screws out, pull the plastic filter out and clean. Hope this helps. Report
