If the water stops when you stop the cycle, then the pressure sensor is at fault. If you need to turn the water supply off to stop it, then the water inlet valve is at fault.
You probably have hard water deposits in the tubing. Run a couple tanks of vinegar through the machine on a brew cycle. Then flush with a couple tanks of water.
Water will not drain from machine
1. Kinked or clogged drain hose---clean hose
2. Pump does not run----readjust & tighten pump, drive mechanism
3. Suds lock---remove suds add cold water
4. Faulty transfer value---replace
5. Defective timer---replace
6. Loose belt----adjust belt
Try pouring a solution of equal parts of white vinegar and water into the machine and let it cook for a while. Several times through the machine will dissolve any calcium and coffee build up and "may" correct the situation. Note this is also the way to clean coffee percolaters and steam irons
Hi Thanks
for using FixYa. Overfilling in your washer occurs mainly due to two things:
water inlet valve going bad and/or the water level switch. If the water inlet
valve has gone bad it won’t be able to shut off even when the electricity has
been turned off. If the issue is with the water level switch then it won’t tell
the water to shut off and the machine will overflow as this switch is to sense
the water level in the clothes tub. However, with that being said it seems that
you’ll need to replace the water inlet valve. Please do rate the solution if
the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
if it's still filling when machine is switched off then water valve needs replacing.if it only overfills when machine is running the pressure pot could be blocked or the hose to the pressure switch could be split or the pressure switch might need replacing
