More likely to be bad caps as shown in my pictures here:

Make sure to replace them in a set with good caps with low ESR nad 105c rating.

assuming you know about using the buttons on the front and it has not worked i would guess the internal lamps are faulty you could just replace the monitor or try and repair it i have linked the service manual

My LG FLATRON W1934S was working fine last night. went to turn it on this morning and nothing happened. no orange or blue lights and it wasnt left in sleep mode either. what could be wrong with it?
I would suspect a problem in the monitor power supply, either a fuse or possible bad filter caps especially if you had to turn it on several times to get it on just before it failed.

Hi my LG w1934s LCD monitor suddenly not working it screen is full with color lines even I disconnect the VGA cable from the system unit the screen is not change the color lines are as it is what can I do...
That have not simple solution better take it to a tv repair shop, you already disconnect the data cable and discard the possibility of computer problem.
The Monitor must have in the menu a reset configuration option but I doubt it will help, its time to get it to a repair shop.

I have a LG FLATRON w1934S, when I make the change from my lap top to the LG screen the icons and everything else are big, how can I change the size?
You need to set your PC video resolution to the native resolution of the monitor.

My lg flatron model w1934s was working fine but now it will not come out of power saving mode at all. What should I do?
Try turning it off and hold the power switch in for about a 30 seconds. This may help to reset the monitor. Afterwards, try and power it up again.

Lg Flatron W1934S Moniter Problems
You could have a faulty inverter board or a faulty CCFL lamp. The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp and the CCFL lamp is a mini fluro tube.
