Dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes Roper REX4634KQ1 Electric Dryer

When I use my dryer the dryer does not get hot enough to dry my clothes. It feels like it gets warm but not hot enough to dry clothes. I have to run clothes through 2 cycles and even then some things are still damp.

Any ideas or replacement part ideas??

Our clothes dryer is only 2 yrs old. It's a Kenmore. Forthe past several weeks I have to set the dial twice for 60 minutes to dry a load. I have tried making the load size smaler, but still the clothes need two or three cycles before they are dry. They never feel hot. Does that mean I need a new heating element?

Heating element Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it.

Type in model No at search tab to find parts availability

Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it

Whirlpool dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes.

Clean/repair the dryer vent. If the airflow is restricted the result is the one you just described.

Good luck,

Dryer (Roper, electric) won't heat

Its probaly gone open circuit, however there is a thermistor that prevents it shorting out, you need to locate it and test it with an ammeter

Roper electric dryer. Clothes not drying. Temp ok/timer not?

I would supect a faulty high limit thermostat. This small round device is mounted to a metal plate and attached to the internal ductwork. It can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Test for continuity. It should have none. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Dryer has some heat but is taking a long time to dry clothes

This type of problem can be caused by a partially burnt heating element, a blown thermal fuse, or a faulty high limit thermostat. All of these components can be checked using an ohm meter or multimeter. Sure hope this helped and best wishes.

The vent may be stopped up, or the vent hose crimped so the air cannot escape, you can check the air flow at the vent on the outside of the house while the dryer is running.
try cleaning the vent and the lint screen with a vacuum cleaner, you may need to replace the vent hose, this should solve the problem

Warm air but clothes not drying

Make sure u have seleced the high heat setting..The fact that it is heating more or less indicates that the element is o/k.
Check and clean any filter(s) that u can see,it is more likely to be a thermostat problem than anything else. and there are at least 2 of them, also check line voltage is correct.
Plz rate this solution.
thanks.

Dryer not drying

Check your lint filter. Put it under running water to see if the water goes through it. Chances are it is clogged up. Wash it and put it back. Should do the trick.

Either the heater element is breaking or is loose and getting only 110V instead of 240V.  First I would check the wall outlet with a voltmeter for 240V between Line1 and Line2.  Also check the connections and continuity for the heater element.
