How can I unlock my mouse pad I can't move the arrow and there's a lock picture showing

Sometimes there's a mouse pic on one of your function keys to local/unlock pad. Hold the function key while tapping the f key once to unlock

Install a fresh Windows.

You mean touch pad is not working? Try to press and hold Fn key (bottom left side on keyboard) and one of the function keys F1 - F8 on which is engraved picture of touch pad.

If it fell off the edge of your bed last night it is likely that you have damaged the mouse track pad in some way.

you might have to order a new one off of ebay and have someone fit it for you !!

Or it might be as simple as the ribbon cable in the track pad has come loose and will need to be refitted.

can you see the movement of the track pad in the right hand bottom corner of the screen when you move the mouse with the track pad and by using an external USB mouse to get to the desktop?

your track-pad mouse has a horizontal bar-shaped button above it with an orange light next to it, try pressing that button. The light should turn white and your mouse should begin working again.

Try holding the Fn key and tap F9. this should unlock the touchpad.

Could be the mouse lock key. I am unsure as to which key it is on yours. Mine is the F9 key. it will have a picture of 2 mouse on , 1 with a no go sign over it (circle with a diagonal line through) try pressing the "fn" key and F9 and see if this unlocks the cursor.

Hold down the FN button and up on the top of the keyboard there will be a button with a picture of a mouse. As your holding down your FN button hit the other button and see if it enables your mouse. Something should come up on the screen showing you that its enabling or disabling the mouse.
