Before we start taking things apart, lets try your simple remove power plug routine and power system back up. Also, please try your unit on a few different channels to see if your problem continues on each channel. Your Main Board, Power Board, T-Control Board are suspected problems at this time. Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds, the unit should power down by itself after you have powered it on. If it does not, then do not be concerned. Let me know if the problem continues. The first link below will bring you directly to the troubleshooting guide if you need to continue forward with the same error. The actual cause may be associated with interference from devices located nearby, and even a radio turned on and located really close to your unit. This is normally known as electromagnetic interference to electronics and is very common with the error you have provided today. Please continue to look for anything EXTERNAL to the unit before looking at the internal components. I have been working on these a long time so feel free to follow up with me

Check to make sure there are NO OTHER uneeded radios, system nearby. these systems, when powered on, will cause electromagnetic interference and prevent more than just severe tv interference SURGE PROTECTOR Surge protectors account for more than 75 percent of electric faults to stereo equipment. Lets start with your AC Wall outlet. It is standard in america that 220 Volts from out of these outlets. This implies that each device will be using 220 Volts (From within that grid zone). If anything including an alarm clock is plugged into any AC outlet socket in the vicinity of the stereo equipment/TV, it will cause electric outage, and prevent electronics from even turning on! Your TV needs dedicated electric power. If your TV is located in the living room then unplug everything else in the living room. Lets plug the TV set into a Dedicated socket. Check all light switches to ensure that power is on for that outlet. Check the TV cable for Fraying both on the ac wall end and where it plugs into the TV. Check all GFCI outlets to ensure that all red reset buttons are pushed in, check the circuit breakers for proper connection and they are turned on. Now, lets try the TV set without it connected to any cable services, vcr, dvd, stereo system, etc. Please respond if we have found a solution.

How to set the collar of a Petafe in ground fence.

1st you have to hold down the little black button on the collar, when it flashes at you release the button.
-Then press the button again and count the # of flashes.
-Keep pressing the button until you get it set to the desired flashes related to the setting you want to use.
-1 flash- audible correction with no shock.
-2 flashes audible correction with low shock.
-3 flashes audible correction with high shock.
It is always recommended to start with the low shock , if using shock setting, then move to higher setting if needed. Most larger dogs require a high shock setting, I have a yellow lab and use the high setting for him. Hope this helps.

Tv does not start up at all but there is an audible beep when you press the manual on/off button

my advise is to disconnect the sky box and any other ancillares. and see if the tv works as a normal tv only. if not the tv has a fault.if it now works connect your other ancillaries ie skybox one at a time if the tv gives up then just backtrack what you have just done it may just be a faulty cable

How do I disconnect the warning chime?

Key in ignition chime ?
Saturn L-Series ?????? L what ? L100 ,L200 , L300
Audible Warnings
The body control module (BCM) will provide an audible warning for various events relating to the vehicle. The functions that provide an audible warning are the key in ignition, the lights on, the occupant restraint (seat belt) and the park brake.
Key in the Ignition Audible Chime
The BCM will provide an audible chime if the key is left in the ignition in either OFF or the accessory position with the driver's door open. The chime rate for this is 150 chimes per minute. The key in the ignition chime has a higher priority than the lights on chime.
Lights on Audible Chime
The BCM will provide an audible chime if the park lights are on and the driver's door is open. In addition, 1 or 2 other conditions exist. The key is out of the ignition, or the key is in the ignition in the OFF position, and has not been turned. The BCM will chime at a rate of 200 chimes per minute until the conditions are removed.
Occupant Restraint Audible Chime
The BCM will provide an audible chime based on the class II message received from the SDM if the driver's seat belt is not buckled when the ignition is turned to run or crank. The chime rate for this feature is 50 chimes per minute.
Park Brake Audible Chime
The BCM will provide an audible chime for park brake when the park brake is applied and the vehicle speed is higher that 3 mph. The chime rate for this feature is 200 chimes per minute.

You can't disconnect anything . The problem has to be fixed .

Telltale Chimes
The body control module (BCM) will provide 4 chimes for each telltale activation per ignition cycle, at a rate of 150 or 200 chimes per minute. The chimes are limited to 1 chime event per telltale for each ignition cycle. The power up telltale function will not activate the telltale chime function. If the telltale becomes active during a cycle then the chime will sound.
The following telltales will activate the chime function:
• Low Washer Fluid
• Change Oil Soon Indicator
• Brake Fluid Low
• Oil Pressure Low
• Coolant Temperature Hot
• Low Coolant Level
• Low Fuel Level
• Antilock Brake System
• Volts Light (Generator)
• Supplemental Inflatable Restraint System (Air Bag)
• Trunk or Hatch Ajar

Having the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's in the BCM would be the first step in the diagnostic procedure .
DTC B2965
When the ignition key is seated in the ignition switch, the key-in-ignition switch contacts the close, grounding circuit 80. The body control module (BCM) monitors the state of the key-in-ignition switch, the state of the ignition switch (OFF, ACC, or RUN) and the driver's door to control the key-in-ignition chime.

The audible warnings alert the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition. The radio generates the audible warnings through the left front speaker. The radio receives audible warning requests via the class 2 serial data line from the IPC or body control module (BCM). If the radio receives multiple audible warning requests, the warning with the highest priority sounds first. The following lists the audible warning priority and the pulse rate:
Fast rate chime--200 pulses per minute
Medium rate chime--150 pulses per minute
Slow rate chime--50 pulses per minute
Single chime

Is the sound heard different from typical Audible Warnings ?

Fasten Safety Belt Warning
The radio activates the fasten safety belt audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency, slow rate and duration (5 pulses). The fasten safety belt warning sounds and the fasten safety belt indicator illuminates when the following occurs:
• The ignition switch transitions to ON.
• The inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) detects that the driver's seat belt is not buckled, signal is low. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the SDM indicating the driver's seat belt status.
If the seat belt is buckled when the ignition is turned on, the chime does not sound. If the seat belt is buckled while the chime is sounding, the chime stops. If the seat belt is unbuckled after the initial transition to ON, the chime does not sound.
Headlamps On Warning
The radio activates the headlamps on warning as requested by the body control module (BCM). The BCM sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency, fast rate and duration, continuous. The headlamps on warning sounds when the following occurs:
• The ignition is OFF.
• The BCM determines that the driver's door is open, signal is low.
• The BCM determines that the headlamp switch is in the park or head position.
Key-In-Ignition Warning
The radio activates the key-in-ignition audible warning as requested by the BCM. The BCM sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency, medium rate and duration, continuous. The key-in-ignition warning sounds when the following occurs:
• The ignition switch is OFF.
• The body control module (BCM) determines that the driver's door is open, signal is low.
• The BCM determines that the key-in-ignition switch is closed, signal is low.
Turn Signal Reminder
The radio activates the turn signal warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency, medium rate and duration, continuous. The turn signal warning sounds when the following occurs:
• The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
• The turn signal switch is in either turn position, sensing, within 1 second, an open to B+ transition in the turn signal control circuit, left or right turn.
• The vehicle has traveled a distance of 1.2 km (¾ mi) by counting pulses on the vehicle speed input circuit.
The IPC turns OFF the turn signal reminder when either the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position, or the turn signal switch returns to the OFF position, sensing, within 1 second, no transitions from open to B+ in either of the turn signal control circuits, left turn or right turn.
Additional Chimes
The following chimes will turn ON when an associated indicator/message turns ON in the IPC/DIC:
• ABS indicator
• AWD Disable indicator
• Battery/Charge indicator
• Brake indicator
• Change Engine Oil indicator
• Door Ajar indicator
• Hot Coolant Temp indicator
• Low Brake Fluid indicator
• Low Fuel indicator
• Low Oil Level indicator
• Low Oil Pressure indicator
• Low Tire Pressure indicator/reset
• Low Washer Fluid indicator
• MIL (Service Engine Soon) indicator
• Oil Life Reset
• Park Lamp Out indicator
• Rear Hatch Ajar indicator
• Service Traction System indicator
• Service Vehicle Soon indicator
• TRAC OFF indicator
For a description of an indicator refer to Indicator/Warning Message Description and Operation .
For diagnosis of an indicator refer to Symptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console .

Did the Mechanic check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes in the BCM or insturment cluster ? Did you try a Buick dealer ?

MY VOLKSWAGEN JETTA 2001 MODEL KEEPS DISPLAYING THE OIL BEEP SIGN ON THE DASH BOARD AFTER DRIVING IT FOR A WHILE AND GOES OFF WHEN I AM SPEEDING.IT JUST KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF .AND IT SEEMS SO OBVIOUS...

Hi Collin,
The oil warning signal may also be displaying low oil pressure, not low oil level. This can happen even with the oil levels all being correct. I'd suggest you take the vehicle to someone who has a good knowledge and has experience of working with engines and let him listen to the unit. If the engine is worn it will sometimes have audible sounds....The fault could also be from a defective oil pressure sender unit switch. The third possibility is a short circuit somewhere in the wiring of the car...

Has started to beep whenever items plugged into

If it's more than 3 years old, you probably need new batteries.

If the beep started after plugging anything additional into the UPS, you may be in an overload state, and the beep is telling you that it's choosing to beep and not function as intended rather than smoking itself. Try unplugging a piece or two from it and see if the beep goes away. If not, probably just you're batteries giving out due to old age, they'll only give you 3-5 years.
