Your HP all-in-one can read the following memory cards: CompactFlash (I, II), Memory Sticks, MultiMediaCard (MMC), Secure Digital, SmartMedia, and xD-Picture Card. Note: It will not read an SDHC.

Camera won't read SDHC card, says card error when trying to format

If you look at the spec, it will only take an SD card, not an SDHC card. SD cards max out at 2GB.

Why wont my toshiba sd card read on my camera nikon cool pix ?

Make sure your memory card is an SD card and not an SDHC card. If it's larger than 2GB then it won't work with the 3200.

I can not get our memory card to format. it says card error. we are using a microSDHC Ccard with adapter 4gb

Is the camera compatible with SDHC? If it can only handle SD memory cards this card is not readable in the device. It will show on the camera whether it is compatible with SDHC. If it doesn't have the logo, take it as the card won't work and you'll need to get a normal SD card.

There is a theoretical maximum of 2GB for SD memory cards, SDHC start at 4GB and go up to 32GB.

Simply put, if your camera is quite old, it won't support SDHC and therefore is limited to a maximum of 2GB memory card.

Have an HP L7680 all-in-one Just received a Panasonic Limuix camera and cannot read the SDHC memory cards in the SD slot - Printer posts an error

No, it's not possible, it'll never read SDHC in the SD slot. SD slot will only read SD, Mini SD (with adaptor) and Micro SD (with Adaptor). If there's no SDHC card slot, then it doesn't support SDHC Card. The lists of supported memory card are listed below:
CompactFlash™ Type I and II,
Secure Digital/MultiMediaCard/Secure MultiMediaCard (SD),
xD-Picture Card,
Sony Memory Stick®,
MagicGate Memory Stick,
Memory Stick Duo,
Memory Stick Pro

I hope this clears your doubt.

Note: SDHC and SD are different Memory Card types.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Bought new sdhc memory card and it reads memory card error please help

The A620 is designed to work with SD cards, not SDHC cards. SDHC cards will fit into the slot but are electronically different. You'll have to stay with SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I get a card reader error on my printer when i insert my PNY Micro SD card

Has the card worked before. If it is the first time you have tried,is the SD card an SDHC,as some printers will not read these.Try a standard SD card and see if your printer reads that.Hope this helps.

Error on formating new memory card in camera error says memory card is full brand new card i tried 2 in faact same error kodak c310

The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 2 Gigabyte and SDHC up to 8 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.

Memory card error for 4GB SDHC card on HP Photosmart printer 2710

Well SD max is 2gb, so you can get 2gb if you want.

SDHC max is 32gb. If you are not on a budget, try upgrading your printer to a newer model.

SDHC is coming out with even newer models, now with a class 10 (10mb read/write speed - but very costly).

However, if it doesn't matter to you, might as well just stick with the same printer, since SD cards are coming down in price. Just make sure you get 2gb cards with a good class speed.

Communication error

If your SD memory card contains more than 1,000 images, the camera will display "Communication Error". Use a card reader (if available) to import your images into the computer, or see about having some CD's made at a photofinishing business.

Message: Memory Card Error - Memory Card Parameter Error on 4gb SDHC card

I have been rummaging around trying to find two solutions: 1) to get my Toshiba Satellite card reader to read SDHC cards and 2) to get my desktop USB ports to read SDHC cards. While MS offers a hotfix for XP, it does not always work because of the different Chip Sets in computers. I have also read where posters say that the SDHC card works in the compter NOW, but NOW will not work in the camera... and the SDHC card NOW works in the camera but will NOT work in the computer.... I found a tekkie article that may help clear the air... SDHC cards are formatted in Fat32x (NOTICE the "x") and SD cards are formatted in Fat32 (no 'x') and these compatibility problems arise when the user unwittingly or unknowingly RE-formats the SDHC card, either when it is put in the computer and won't read or when it is put in the camera and won't read... but just don't bother to mention that THAT is what they did upon inserting the card and only proceeded to complain about an apparent incompatibility. The camera or computer might even mislead you asking if you want to format the card..... but all is not lost. The Panasonic site gives a program AND a pdf instruction book on How To ReFormat an SD or SDHC card specifying the proper Fat32x or Fat32 format. Hope this helps.
