SOURCE: 900 Service RIP software error

a 900 rip error is the engine card. located behind the system board (formatter) if you can get the printer to a ready state you can phone 1800lexmark and get a pin code from them costs about 15 bucks. if this flash does not work you will likley need a new engine card.

removed memory off the system board restarted printer. came up to an error no memory found.
powered down and reinstalled memory on board in a different slot and restarted unit...
NO ERRORS......

SOURCE: error code 917.00 "service transfer roller" won't clear

This is a transfer roll error. Take the toner cartridge out and clean the area under it. The transfer roll is a roller which is right under the toner cartridge. make sure the ie is clean . It may need to be replaced.

Service Fuser Error appears when the fuser does not warm to the required temperature. For this error on this Lexmark model T640, the manual states you should power off the printer and power it back on, and if it is not plugged into a wall power point, change it to a power point mounted directly on the wall. Personally, I never got a Lexmark printer to work doing this, but this is in the manual. If this won't help, and the printer is under warranty, you should log it in with the servicing company.

If the printer is out of warranty, your next option is to change the fuser which costs around $350, so I think you would be better off getting a new printer unless you find a second hand one on Ebay.

Lexmark T640 Laser Printer giving me a paperjam error#241.10. There is no paperjam. Have taken it apart,cleaned with alcohol and reassembled. Turned it off and on several times. Same error.
The paper is not picket correctly out of tray 1.
Mostly caused by worn or dirty picktires in tray 1.

"Remanufactured cartridges" How do you define that?

Given that Lexmark does not support or condone the use of third party products in their printers.

When a cartridge is new from the factory, all of the components inside the cartridge are new.

When Lexmark sell a recycled cartridge, all of the components within the cartridge are ETN components (Equivalent to new).

That means all of the rollers have been change and the PC is new.

It seems you purchased a cartridge which has a defect.

Return it to your point of sale and see what happens with the next one.

Lexmark does not now nor have they ever endorsed or supported the use of OEM toner or cartridges.

In fact, use of such products voids the printer warranty.
