Fisher and Paykel MW512. How old is my washing machine with serial number: EEN570469?

Question edited for clarity. Please always include full make and model. Question moved to Fisher and Paykel category.

Whereas many companies have a serial number look up, or a code in the serial number, Fiaher and Paykel don't. you would have ot contact them direct.

Fisher & Paykel Double Dishdraw (DD60DCX6). 1 Draw gets stuck mid cycle & continues to wash, no beeps, water not hot. Can you tell me which parts need replacing. Previously other draw

Coulg be a faulty heater. The unit will continue to wash for 2 hours before it gives an F4 fault message. Check the resistance of the heater element. There may be a solder link that is designed to fail if the temperature ever gets too high. Otherwise it could be a faulty controller board. Post back if you can narrow the diagnosis.

The dryer is not heating is it the heating element of could it be a fuse? and where is the heating element located.

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...

Fisher and paykel 460 dryer not producing any heat ? heating element ok

one of the 2 thermostats have failed, most have a reset button you can push pin into this will test if it is faulty, they are normally located near the heater element, you might also be able to tell with the reset one being slightly scorched45d764d.jpg

Refridgerator problem

Maybe the heater was ok all along. There are two micro-temps in line with the heater which go open circuit under excessive heat conditions. These are located at each end of the connections to the heater element. Check these to see wether they are still closed. They cannot be reset and have to be replaced if faulty/open circuit. There is also a defrost thermostat/terminator in the heater cavity which should be closed under cold conditions. Best time to check this thermostat is when the evaporator is full of ice.

Fisher and Paykel DEGX1 Electric Dryer Stays Warm

Yes, get a new element. The reason it's on all the time is because the element coils have broken and one of the coils is touching the canister that encloses it. This creates a direct short to ground. By the way, the element has 120 volts to it all the time. It will only HEAT when 240 is applied through the centrifugal switch of the motor. Your 120 volts is shorting to ground... not enough amps to trip the circuit breaker, but enough to glow the element.
