Modern TV's are computers and try to indicate where a problem exists.
Does it need a Firmware upgrade?
the kill switch is open ensure the lamp cover presses firmly on the kill switch when u close the lamp chamber door the red light will stop blinking and u can now turn the tv on
Most probably there is a problem in the power supply and it is going on standby protection mode. You may have to search for a service manual from open websites and look through for the error code indicated by the led blinking, to be very sure. Unfortunately I do not have one with me.
